Rumor is its a combination of bending rear wing main blade that is hidden & a ICE that is cranked up after using Botta's as a test bed. One of Merc's ex-employee's that now works for RB apparently has a good/solid theory on the rear wing main blade trick. It gets pushed down at a certain speed & is hidden by the blade in front of it. So onboard camera can not visually see this like the upper wings earlier in season. The reason Max touched the wing was to inspect the main blade & how stiff it was to his. RB did not file any formal complaint as Max was under investigation. Going into this weekend they may move forward with a official complaint. On the engine side it is basically turning everything up to 100 on a engine that was manufactured to only last 2500 KM compared to Merc's normal 7000 KM distance. Rumor is they have fully maximized the turbo & increased combustion pressure. This is said to give a increase in 15 hp. If any of this is true I think Mercedes can just keep taking a new ICE each weekend if the performance is like Brazil. Game over for RB.

 

For today's 'I have no reason to be annoyed but for some reason am very annoyed' moment... Anyone get annoyed of this blond haired lady riding Lewis wiener everywhere he goes? I'm sure the mechanics in the garage are like 'get this f'n lady out of the way' - I read she's like a life coach... but why is she in the garage with the mechanics or glued to his hip 110% of his time?

What's the prediction for the 2022 redesigns leveling the playing field? It's almost not fun to watch Lewis just power his way through the grid like everyone is standing still. Or, will it be more of the same as it was this year?

 

If Mercedes do this it would be a considered desperate and at the same time very expensive. I don't think Mercedes would want that label... But we will wait and see.

To be fair Hamilton isn't the only guilty one. The first that comes to mind is Sainz with his cousin/manager. And isn't Verstappen's dad always somewhere nearby? Thnk others have personal assistants and trainers around too but I've never really bothered to pay attention. With Hamilton and Sainz its the most obvious.

I'm surprised that right or wrong Merc's wasn't simply denied. It's bad business in any sport to second guess an official's "on field" call and consider a retroactive penalty. I know, F1 has a dumb ass process and history doing exactly that. Let it go. Review Merc's case internally behind closed doors and if a lesson is learned share it, apologise, and promise to do better next time.

Did he get fined or punished in any way for that touching if you know?

 

No fine or penalty as other opposing teams did not protest. I believe Max is the first to get fined.

 

It looks like an FIA official was watching Seb in one of those clips...More inconsistency

 

Seb's been doing that for many years, without penalty.
