Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

There's a good 2-3ft of snow up in the mountains for us on Van.Island, i feel like it came in much earlier this year but the climate is so mild, it never snows in town by the ocean so we pick and chose whenever we want to hit up snow trails within a 30min drive.

 

I just brought a boat down the inside passage and noticed the snow level seemed pretty low in the trees on Vancouver island but it was still pretty warm on the water….windy as all get out but warm.

 

Looks trigger welded, not really ideal for correct heat input/strength. These spindles are forged and can take a good amount of heat. If you’re worried about heat you can always do smaller passes. Doesn’t look bad tho, but you can cover the little dimple by dragging back over each one so it looks better.

 

Anybody tried to confirm if Napa reman CV’s would work with the 934 stuff? I know my inner cups on my Napa axles are identical to OEM. Wondering about the outers though.

As long as they are OEM inner cups I can use them and for the outers just make sure they are 29 spline and you will be fine

 

Can’t wait to match these with the inner fenders. I feel like a little kid on Christmas.

 

I know the feeling, I already have new 35s and they have been rubbing like crazy. I can't wait for the inner fenders.

 

It’s crazy how much bigger they look than my 33’s. I’ll post a comparison pic when I get them installed this weekend.

 

They’re going to rub everything. Just got the same tires and size. Picking up my JD lower pivots and arms this weekend to help get the tires off the cab.

 

Yeah I am getting the lower pivots, inner fenders, uca and slide rack. I’m going to just rock my bilsteins till they fail then go LT.

 

Hell yea, inner fenders are probably going to be next for me, no slide rack tho because 3rd gen.

 

How much in terms of caster over OEM is the kit forward? Work blocked the website again...

 

Not entirely sure, but I’ll be moving the lower roughly 3/4” forward and see what that does for clearance. Right now I’m rubbing driving around town. So it will be nice to not f**k up my new tires before they see dirt. Probably should toss the 33s on while I wait to install the pivots, but the 35s and new wheels look so good.

 

Harry said to shoot for 3-4 degrees of caster if I recall correctly. With the pivots all the way forward I’m assuming you can get that still with a stock lower. I will find out after I get it installed.

 

You definitely can get 4 with the stock lowers. I have just over 4 right now.

 

For anyone who ordered the inner fenders with the small tray. What battery are you planning to use?
