Spot mirrors are in. Had to break the tabs off my old mirrors because they wouldn't come out lol

 

Just picked up mesocustoms dual color map lights for half price thanks to the black friday deal.

 

I wonder if 3rd Gen dome lights work on the 2nd Gen???

No it does not. Had in my 3rd gen and had to break apart the guts to put in a 2nd gen housing.

OK. Problem solved.

I found a couple of flange-head 1/4x2-inch lag bolts in my Loose Screws bin, and they did the trick nicely.




And this is why I didn't want to try and test fit it on the opposite side. I did not want to tear all of this off.

 

After all the attention the “spottermirrors” have been getting over the past couple days I decided to check their site out.

Noticed in the description “Tacoma world” is referenced.

 

Thats a killer score! After I saw that this morning I was kinda kicking myself for paying full price when they came out 2 months ago.

I wasn't really looking for it. I popped in to see if they had 2nd gen domes for my son and saw the deal. Couldn't resist. I have 2 sets of 3rd gen maps, clear and rare amber, that I was contemplating gutting to fit my 2nd gen maps. Guess now I can sell the 3rd gen maps.

 

Installed a bestop topper. Michigan weather made the process a tough one. Highly suggest doing it when the weather is warm.

 

Just installed extended brake lines from wheelersoffroad

 

It looks to me that the panel should have been slid back a little and mounted to the corner fasteners of the compartment.

 

I guess I could have tried that but I'm calling it good.

Heading out with the truck to go camping this weekend in the cold north of Minnesota. Going out for 3 nights to fulfill my goal of 50 nights camping this year.
