for me, it is the drum room..I literally tune out - or pound out - the world down there

 

Cooked a couple of cheddar brats in the little fire thingy...cats associate a fire in there with treats so I made extra. Cleaned up a bunch of leaves again today......again...4x now..

Don't let this cute face fool you. Just minutes earlier he was going full cujo on the door trying to get out and yelling for this people.



We've got contractors in and out today so he's had his domicile restricted to our spare room. Food, water, litter box, scratcher, bedding, etc... Doesn't care that it's there and just wants out.

But when you open the door it's full on cuddles and drooly purring

 

The cool thing is it's not even done yet, just a piece of plywood to cover it and keep it dry until I get the roof on, insulate it and some straw bedding in there for them, but this year's kittens are already going inside it.

 

Well…
3 solid weeks at home. Sub q fluids every few days. Ate well. This morning, appeared dehydrated, started vomiting a little. Repeated attempts to poo with no output. All signs of kidney failure… headed to the vet now…

we spent the last hour outside roaming the back yard, it’s his fave place to be. Then he just cuddled up in my lap for a bit.

 

Sorry he/she is at the end.

 

So sorry to hear. That's a very rough time for both of you. Makes me sad for you...the last cat we had, well at the very end my wife had to take him from me so he could be put down.
