Returning to Tacoma after many years

    So we have an older Tacoma many years ago, and I have had a couple Toyota 4X4 way back. Like a Turbo 4X4 1986 model I think. My wife and I just ordered (the truck already has a VIN) a 2022 TRD 4X2 Off Road w Tech package. The dealer ids installing a lift and TRD black wheels as well as TRD skid, 285 tires, and side step. Super excited!

    Thanks mucho. We're excited. Here in SoCal I will take it on fire roads and access to Mountain Biking but nothing like deep mud or deep sand so I suspect I';ll be fine. It has about 5" of lift with the tire upgrade. It has the basic tech package, not the high end one so it does get the LED lights. Can't wait. I have a hitch mount Thule bike rack but I'd like to have a slick system to load two bikes in the bed standing up.

    I do not believe there are any changes with the 22 at all. I could be mistaken.

    It’s a gray like charcoal. 2WD off road DC. I have a vin just waiting on delivery. Hope it will still do ok off road. I’m talking fire road stuff no mud or deep sand.

    So that did not take long. We had a temporary VIN and after one week I tried to track it. It did not let me so I had read that could mean the truck was produced. So today I’m at work and my guy texts me from dealer and tells me our truck had been delivered, had already been lifted and was ready for pickup. I’m super excited and my wife will drive it during the weekdays then I’ll mostly drive on weekends and days off.

    Love the LED lighting. Sits level and no rubbing at all. Drives smooth. It had 4 miles on it. Going to get the black chrome Tacoma badging. Already has black exhaust tips. I like the color a lot with the black and red wheels.

    Not sure what TSS is but truck is not that lifted. No warning light of any kind. So far so good.
