Hey guys my carmax has a 2011 fj cruiser one owner 6speed manual rear locker for an eye watering $43k but a supposed 17miles. Says it was a lease but who da fuck leases a car for 10 years? And drives it only 143 miles a month?? Too good to be true or is am I being stupid af for even considering it. Sorry I know this is a 2nd gen taco forum but I figured the fj is its red headed step sibling so I'd ask here

    That's a steep price.

that's a crazy price and 10 year leases don't happen. Guy who initially leased most likely bought it out and kept it after the lease was over.

Sounds like someone is taking advantage of the current used car market to me.

I've seen people ask silly money for low mileage Fj's for years now.

I would personally buy one with around the 100k mark for half the price.

That's nuts! I went looking at new Tacos and when you found one the prices were insane. I just painted mine did a few cosmedic things and called it a day. She may have 220k on her but it's still paid for and looks like new! Even the paint guy told me I could fetch north of 26K for my truck, 4k less than what I paid for it new 12 years ago.

I was tempted to trade my 2nd gen in. Carvana offered me silly money for it, but I would pay out the rear end to replace it with another truck.

Exactly why I didn't do it!

Tacoma's are a great truck despite their shortcomings, I have had my rig from mile 0 and have religiously changed the engine oil every 3500 and all other fluids at their intervals. I don't beat on my rig and from what I have read they are good for 3-400k so my ride still has plenty of life in it!

It’s your money (or the Banks) use it how you want it! I wouldn’t pay that much for a used car though.
