I spent 6 years in Seattle and suffered through some pretty significant weather events up through way. Shit just sucks. Forget why year it was but the about 20-30 miles of I-5 were closed around Centralia and Chehalis due to flooding.
    Every winter up there.

I have an HJC cs2, and I found and XL works for me across most helmets. I think they might have a crossover in shell size for some models in their range. Shell “A” might be M-L in one helmet while L-XL might be shell size B in another.

This is good to know. The only ones that I fit in L are Arai and Shoei (but Im not in the market for those now).

I am going to go off of your suggestion and order the XL HJC..

yea the way my dealer explained it to me was that every monday honda gives the dealer an ETA update for the list of models and unit numbers they have coming their way, either things get bumped out or sometimes they get bumped up, i was hopeful because when I was at the dealer they had a bunch of 110s there on the floor all waiting to be picked up and they said they had 4 more coming with in a few weeks, they did mention one young poor little girl who left a deposit on a 150r back in April and she was still waiting in October

they had a grom though on the floor, unsold, as well as a monkey

so I don't know, what I do seem to notice is bike dealers are not keen on trading inventory with other bike dealers, unlike car dealers who are more open to doing so

I thought they could only do that within a dealer network, which most motorcycle dealerships are 1 of 1.

when i worked for subaru many years ago, they traded with other dealers rather often, and it was a small family owned dealership, trading with other subaru dealerships all over the north east, sometimes the car would be transported and other times employees would go pick it up and drive it back

either way I am not in a rush, with a deposit down I know I have one coming eventually, hopefully by the spring lol :anonymous:

I thought we collectively learned not to put a deposit without having the bike actually in the dealership

lol, my guy gave me way more explanation and showed me a bunch fo papers with models unit numbers and asterisks ***** for every time there is a date change

all they told you was some short quick dry line about auto refilling their inventory :argue:

I had no choice this time, the last 3 batches of 110s they had come in I let come and go without ever taking one home, sometimes you just gotta throw caution to the wind

I know you can’t ever go on a salesman’s word, but I saw on his computer that some things were coming at future dates and yet they were delivered on on his floor early so I was optimistic that perhaps our order would be at the very least on time. Guess supply has changed since then. Sometimes I wonder if he just sold mine out from under me and is waiting for the next one

Carbs are a funny thing. I hated cleaning them in all the bikes I had with them. Hated myself even more for not prepping some for winter at all haha. Said I’d never own one again. Then you get all electric bikes and look back and say, hmm, it’d be kind of nice to own a simple carbed bike again… I’m sure once I have a couple back in the stable I’ll be cursing them again… and the cycle repeats :)

I honestly think they want to deliver and invoice the bikes and quick as they can, so I have a hard time accepting that they sell bikes from underneath people who have a deposit down

but it is possible, my dealer is not marking bikes up above the honda msrp, so I doubt they are fishing for cash paying bidding wars
