KDMax-Pro

- More low end torque.
- Improved gas mileage. Best MPGs so far! (As always, NOT Guaranteed.)
- Octane learning from 87-93 octane--no more Regular and Premium versions.
- Improved/smoother shifting.
- Works with CAI's, Custom Exhausts.
- 4Lo tested- smooth and strong at low speeds.
- More user friendly throttle settings/names and just three choices:
1. Sport throttle- Aggressive, linear (much like our Regular/aggressive now but optimized for less jerky low speed)
2. Normal throttle- Used for Daily Driving but aggressive and linear (much like the old SLT but optimized and linear)
3. Lite throttle- Like the Stock/WifeTip throttle but optimized to be linear and smooth
4. Thoroughly tested by all year trucks.

You do not have to update from the previous KDMax tune if you do not want to.
But anyone that does, We suggest a Reset ECU and Clear TCU for a fresh reset then flash the new tune and give it a full tank of gas to settle in.
It is not required to reset, but letting the computer learn your driving with the new tune would be beneficial.
If you currently have a custom KDMax tune and want to upgrade, send us a PM and give us a day or two to make the custom files.

We had a few early customers tuned with our new KDMax-Pro this weekend.
Peter @bluelinetaco had his sweet looking VooDo Blue ECU updated and Flashed our new KDMax-Pro Sport throttle tune. Peter was blown away with how well his truck drives!

Rich @tacomageek Late last evening came in to get his 2021 ECU updated and have the new KDMax-Pro with Sport throttle! He is building a sweet ride for himself now he has the tune to make it drive as good as it looks! It was good talking trucks with you keep the build going! I met up with Shane @1H52019Tacoma in San Diego. He just was relocated from South Carolina to San Diego. He made the journey driving his Tacoma across the country and was completely miserable with how bad the truck performed! Got him updated from from the original 04B30 to the current 04B33 Flashed our new KDMax-Pro- Sport throttle and after his test drive he couldn't believe it was his truck he was driving. I’m very jealous of ALL potential stock “sleeper” Tacoma owners out there. OMG I’m actually considering returning my truck to stock at some point for the experience!

After driving nearly 1k miles with the K&D tune, I must say it transformed the way I feel about the truck. I completely forgot about the ECT button since the tune does everything for you. Drivability is perfect, this is how the truck should have came from Toyota. Dave was an absolute pleasure to work with too! From now on every Taco owner I meet I will surely be referring them to K&D if of course they already don't have it. Well done!

This mod should be the 1st thing every owner should pull the trigger once driven off the lot.

Ok, got the KD Max Pro about 6 days ago. Drove from NorCal to SoCal to get it.

Install was super fast, @TWTaco handles all my TSB updates and had me tuned in about 30 min total.

Have about 650 mi on the tune now. Here’s the rundown:

-Torque in the low end noticeably increased and very linear feeling.
-Throttle tip in at its max it so nice to have when you need to hurry up and go from a stop.
-Gear hunting almost non-existent
-Truck actually upshifted going up the Grapevine home after only about 3/4 of a tank
-Trucks holds speed on inclines now without coming out of overdrive
-Truck will drop out of over drive when lightly accelerating on the highway
-MPG’s we’re not promised, but here are the shots of my before and after MPGs on the trip.
