For Dyno testing I have to make you a custom Dyno gearlock tune. That is what we did in the past. If you are interested PM me and I’ll get it done for you.

This is the smoothest shifting I’ve had in this truck. Can’t feel a thing. Very very impressed

I have to agree with you on that. Can’t feel the shifting at normal throttle inputs at all. Had to glance at my scangauge to find out what gear I’m in.

What’s a normal idle rpm for a warm engine sitting in P or N with the Pro tune? 550?

I'm new to the KDMax world, but after some recent internal debate I decided that I was tired of my brand new truck feeling like it was pulling an invisible load all the time, so after reading much of this thread, I reached out to my local KDMax install guy @wahoobie and got setup. He installed KDMax Pro for me yesterday and the results were immediate! It feels as if the truck has been "set free." I couldn't be happier with the results. The peppy feeling when I take-off from a dead stop is finally there. Thanks again to Chris (@wahoobie), if you're in VA, hit him up!

I soft bricked the other day. Failed mid-flash. Truck thought it was still being flashed, lol. Force flash worked like a charm. I wouldn't stress it anymore.

Is there an instruction somewhere on using the force flash feature? How did you go about implementing? When it stops mid flash do you just press the force flash button? And which one?

Gen2 I believe. And I'm not aware of any instructions.

After the error, I did the following:
    1. Left truck in ignition on
    2. Left the flash window up
    3. Selected the Gen2 force flash button
    4. When the flash completed, the truck still thought it was being flashed and my PCS had an error
    5. Turned ignition off
    6. Turned ignition on
    7. Reset/cleared LV, AT, and DTC's
    8. Waited a few seconds for the PCS light to go away
    9. Turned truck off
    10. Started the engine

Thanks. Good to know in case I ever need it. I hope this kind of information makes it into the new instructions being released along with vFTuner 1.5.0.

It may already be there to be honest. I didn't even look. I just figured with force flash, it would be challenging to hard brick my ECU. So I just tried what I thought would work.

I was looking through the vFTuner user manuals from the last update and didn't find anything with ref to v1.4.4 and no mention of how to do a force flash, so thank you for being a pioneer in a pinch.:)
