Got my replacement 509T today and mounted on my G17 with C&H plate.

 

Not an awful price for heavier wt .223 at PSA considering 55gr fmj was going for this not long ago and still at some places

My LGS has pallets of 9mm and 5.56. But they have the Sh** priced so high, its just sitting there. They are kinda proud of themselves anyway.

 

Some of these stores are in a tough spot, in that they bought the inventory at an inflated price before prices started to fall. Now they take delivery and are stuck with trying to make profit on rounds that are selling for less.

Note I said “some”. Others are just looking to gouge

 

Same here. Ammo out the wazoo, way over priced. So it sits....

 

I think they have it like $0.20 more a round then Academy, which is about 40 mins away. Know way they are paying that much more then Academy, when they are buying pallets of it.

 

I agree. When the subject was brought up, awhile back, a member who is in the business stated that wholesale pricing difference was minimal, LGS to Big Box.

 

Local shop has a pile of 9mm ammo that their cost was 18-19$/box, they’re selling it around 22/box trying to push it out so they can put out ammo they got at more normal pricing where with normal markup it’ll be 18$/box.

Without knowing exactly what that business has into their product it’s difficult to say wether or not they’re gouging or trying to stay afloat.

 

I have been making my rounds to a few of the stores here and I am seeing the same thing tons of ammo high prices......

 

Nice! Ive ran the 507 for a couple years, think Im going to switch to the 509 since the enclosed sounds a lot nicer/cleaner.

 

Give it a try I think you'll won't be disappointed. You can find them new as low as $250 with a coupon code from places like JoeBob and Righttobear. It even fit in my Safariland holster with the hood closed.

 

As someone who owns both the 507 and 509 the 509 is my preferred optic.
