Agreed. I was in the exact same boat. I even reached out to the vendor who sold them to me at the ~$350 price and the best the could do currently was over $600. I ended up finding an awesome deal on some BDS and decided to be the guinea pig for those since they don't have much love or information here on TW. It's only been about a month but so far so good.

you can try on rock auto under the MEVOTECH brand, but there is a chance you'll get the old tubular version.

You can also check with @memario1214 he might be able to get you a better deal than retail price.

SPC raised prices on Nov 01, and not surprising considering current inflation, suppy chain problems, shipping cost rising exponentially, etc.

I like that they use a sealed greaseable ball joint and OEM style rubber bushings. Good travel and very unlikely to develop a squeak.

FWIW, they also have "No Fine Print Lifetime Warranty" and BDS is a sub-brand of FOX. Which makes them the only "performance" upgraded UCA to have a lifetime warranty that I know of...

 

Gotcha.. i was under the impression these were cheaper than SPC. Ideally looking for $400 UCAs.. which i feel is a very reasonable price for something as simple as a UCA. They arent rocket science but since every soccer dad wants to lift their toyota now.. the prices have boomed which pisses me off.

 

Yeah, they aren't cheap. They are up there with the likes of Total Chaos in price. I just got a really good deal on them (bought from a local individual and not a business) and REALLY liked the busing and ball joint configuration. Not sure I could stomach full price. They are a solid option for anyone not wanting poly bushings (prone to squeak) or heim joints (send all vibes to the frame). For your price point, I'd look at either JBA or see about maybe using the Wheelers BF discount on the OME UCAs.

 

I have a used set of JBA's I'll sell you for $300 shipped. Came off my 2016 with around 22k miles on them. PM me if interested.
