I bought the same lottery ticket as you. Last weekend's removal of the lower control arms on my 2003 yielded no surprise seizures. The bolts and sleeves came out with no issues at all. My truck has spent its years in NM, so there is no rust visible...

@jbrandt is there someway I can only buy the lower control arm bushings from Energy? I see they include upper and lower in the $55 kit. I only need the lowers, upper control arms were done recently. Just trying to save some money

Not sure, when I did mine I got the whole kit. Have you tried from Energy Suspension directly? Seems like most retailers I've seen only have the kits.

Just got off the phone with them. Unfortunately there is not. But the guy said the rubber ones in my uppers will wear out a lot faster than the polys, so when that happens I'll at least have the parts already. (If he's right)

Yeah, just like someone selling you rubber bushings is probably going to tell you the polys will wear out faster than the rubber ones.

The full kit is still cheaper than a lot of just the lower rubber bushings, so even if you don't use them, it's still saving some cash. I say keep them and do those in another year or so. Or make a cool necklace out of them, or hang them from your hitch like "trucknutz" lol

zjdietz, not sure if it's already been said in this thread but whiteline has an affordable option. I installed mine two weeks ago and it was a pain in the ass. I feel good about the whitelines though. It's great that you have a plug-in sawzall, should be better than the old shitty one I was working with. If you can swing buying some used lca's and refitting those before you get yours off I'd do it. That way if things go sideways on you you're not out a working vehicle, and you can turn aroung and sell your takeoffs to someone else.

Lol that's the plan! Energy is just cheaper and easier to install. Don't have a reason not go with them aside from a bit more of a harsh ride... but whatever. Not a cadillac.

Maybe if I sell my dirt bike. But that's not something I really want to do lol. Crazy that a set of shocks sells for more than 1/3 of how much my bike is worth

Alignment shop told me the bolts on my 1st gen were seized so I took it home and put a 6 ft cheater bar on them to try to break them loose. No cutting required. Snapped right off.

Fuck yeah man! And you're a ktm guy? I've got an 07 250 XCF. She's not nearly as gorgeous as yours though. 350 exc? I do a lot of woods riding around here on the east coast. Riding west coast is definitely a bucket list thing for me

P.S. - Don't ask about the graphics haha. Previous owner was named "Poogi" I guess...

yeah, '22 350exc. Picked it up in August. Been riding that DRZ pictured for far too long, lol. That was my first dirtbike. Great reliable bike, but 16 years was long enough.

Funny how my first few rides on the thing I was actually slower than I was on the DRZ.

I might have just lower ES bushings... I did ES upper and whiteline lower.

DRZs are great bikes. Buddy of mine had a 250 for a few years.

But yeah I'm sure that transition wasn't easy after being on the same bike for 16 years lol. I'm sure that 350 rips though.

This is my "first" bike. Well first bike that I paid for haha. I've grown up riding, my uncles always had one or two KTM 2 strokes which I used to race

on the real rusty ones I find it easier to cut on the inside of both sides of arm bolt w saw zall then the whole control arm can be pried out w a bar.
