Barry Bonds Overlanding

So I’m a big sports fan and when I saw Barry Bonds is getting into overlanding and that you might just see him sleeping in a rtt, shit just blew my mind

For people who dont watch baseball Barry has the most home runs in mlb history but it comes with an asterisk cus hes suspected of using peds. He hated the media, and had an interesting off the field drama. Still pretty cool to see him so happy.

 

Henry Aaron was my second favorite player when I was a kid (first was Frank Robinson) so when Barry broke the record I wasn't too happy. Since then as time has shown the rampant use of PEDS in the game it looks like it was a level playing field after all. Then not too long before his death, I saw an interview with Mr Aaron (RIP) where he gave Barry full credit & acknowledged the legitimacy of his record.

 

Barry? meh.

His uncle Robert, Bobby's brother, was my counselor for quite some time at Cal Poly SLO. He and brother Bobby were great people. My wife taught their kids how to swim. They're both gone now. Fond memories of them. Just never got behind Barry and the 'tude. Oh well. He should have bought a Taco.

 

Something tells me he probably bought it as a toy to spend his money on and it’ll probably just sit in his 10 stall garage for a few years before he sells it.

 

One of the greatest players to ever step on the field, steroids be damned. He was apparently an ass sometimes (my father owned a wood finishing company in the Bay Area and worked on one of his homes at one point, said he was one of the worst clients he'd ever had, but also that many wealthy clients behaved similarly) but man was he a good ball player, and not just behind a bat. A shame that the steroids/ BALCO might make it so he never gets in the Hall of Fame

 

he says hes gonna build it out, idk he seems into it. Hes hanging out with complete strangers and at one point was sleeping on the ground tent idk he seems into it imo. He is a millionaire and just hanging around normal folks, i think he likes this cus he likes being alone

How do you charge your EV when you are sleeping in your RTT?

Fair enough. To be honest I didn’t even watch the video. I guess I just assumed if you’ve been traveling around the world staying in Four Seasons most of your life the transition to camping might be difficult. But then again maybe just what he needs.

 

If you have a RTT mounted on an EV where do you plug it in to recharge the thing?

EVs are popular and so are RTTs but I don't think those things would work well together.

 

What EV? I dont own an ev or a rtt. Barry has a defender 110, its not an ev.

 

Yeah the Defender is ice. I can't recall ever seeing a RTT on an electric vehicle.

EVs need a stationary power source to recharge the battery. EVs wouldn't make for a good vehicle to carry a RTT.

Look, the only thing that really matters here is that Bonds was a great player even before he was on the sauce.
