Indeed final episode was probably one of the best of a very good mini series. Good acting. Sacklers are just complete dirtbags. That said, their kids had nothing to do with this and yes the money can insulate them to some extent. Just one ugly episode of life.

Just to see what the hype is all about, my wife and I started watching the Squid Game on Netflix a few nights ago. Shit is kinda like Stephen King (The Running Man) meets American Horror Story. Now I finally understand all the memes with Player 001......

The Harder They Fall.
Good flick

 

I watched the 1st Episode of the WOT. I need to forget the books completely. They made it.........a bit woke. And not as innocent, I guess.

Good so far. Different from the books. Decent.

 

The Harder they Fall on Netflix was one of the better movies I’ve seen as of late. Passing (also on Netflix) was pretty dramatic, intense and I thought pretty good, although I doubt there’s a huge market for it on here. Dexter is back with a new season and I enjoyed the first two episodes. Wasn’t sure I’d be able to get back into it but so far I think it’s worth the watch.

 

Also watched the Von Dutch doc on Hulu it wasn’t a masterpiece or anything and it probably could/should have been half as long. However, it was interesting to look back on that weird early 2000’s time and I never knew all the crazy shit that went on behind the scenes.

 

Spoiler: My gripe

COMPLAINT: Rand did not have consensual relations with Egwene at all, let alone the night before Bel Tine in the first book. Good lord and we are more acquainted with Lan's posterior than his history. TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Only Murders in the Building (Hulu) is pretty good. Took a couple episodes to pick up but if finally got good.

Arcane on Netflix. Took a couple of episodes but is getting really good. Damn once a week episode release though


Enjoying Foundation on Apple TV also buts another once a week episode

 

Cowboy Bebop

 

Lasted about 15 minutes. No hook to keep me interested.

 

Wanted to like, just all over the place.

Wheel Of Time on Prime...meh.
If you are a fan on the books/purist then you will have problems with this, if not then I refer back to "meh".
I had high hopes for it but instead on relying on the original source material they decided to modernize it to fit into the current social mores, disappointing.

They must of figured they needed more so they throw sex in. And beyond binary. Every show. Ruined.

 

Watched the first 2 last night, will watch the 3rd soon. I'm doing it for closure, not because I like it.
I started the book series in 1990 when it first came out and spent the next 23 years following it to its conclusion. By far my favorite book series.
I would be curious to hear what Harriet, Jordan's wife, thinks of the liberties they have taken with the TV series.
