Yeah. Live and learn. I removed my two lag screws, loosened the bolt on the bed rail, and slid it back. It's all good now.

 

Those will make beautiful mounts. Is that one just a shed you guys stumbled on?

drained and filled the automatic transmission fluid, thinking of doing this every 30k miles

used scan guage 2 AND infrared gun to read transmission temperature. a degree off from one another.
idling it took almost 20 minutes to get to operating temp of 98 degrees. i think the transission cooler played a part in taking that long to warm up.

Was prepping my truck for a little offroad event tomorrow and while under the truck I noticed my transmission fill plug was, well, just straight up missing..... I know for a fact I torqued it because getting a torque wrench and socket in that area was an absolute whore. Went and bought another one at the local dealership, as well as some extra fluid and filled it back up and quadruple checked I torqued it this time.... thankfully it didn't take much fluid it fill it back up but I ordered some Redlind mt-90 so I can drain and fill it again just incase some water got into it.

I didn't do it but someone else did. Driver said "I swerved to avoid hitting a dog or other animal" in his note. Just parked in the street looking too good I guess. Anyone wanna spitball at me a guesstimate on cost to repair?

I've been a body/frame tech for 42 years. Looks like just going to need new fender, headlight, bumper pieces, flare, and blend the driver's door. Possibly a little left radiator support damage too. Also check your right front wheel to make sure of no damage if it was knocked into that curb.
$$$ figure will depend on the shop.

My son was just offered a job (estimator) at Caliber. I used to do a lot of sublet work for Caliber as well.
