If it hasn't poked through yet, it might if you drive on it. Remove the screw or swap on the spare. Don't drive with it though.

    Oh look, another mod....
You got lucky because it's on the tire, and not the side wall. You can't plug a side wall. I'm sure the local Discount Tire (or whatever you have where you're at), can fix it up for you and send you back out on your way in no time.

Really depends on the screw it looks like it’s just in one of the tread lugs but if that’s a 6 inch screw then it’s in the tire ,

I’d back the screw out if air starts leaking then well I guess you’d have your answer

I'd guess it's bent and the rest of the screw has breached the inner tire wall.....with that said, still lucky because they should be able to throw a patch on it.

I never had a problem with my stock tires. Ever since I installed my KO2s I've had to get them repaired 3 times. 3 tires punctured within the first 500 miles. 2 by glass and 1 by nail

Lucky. I got one in the outer tread and they said it was « beyond the cords » and unable to be repaired. Yours is an easy less than $10 repair

Better where this is than the sidewall. Your shop should be able to do a patch on that. Last tire mishap we had was the wife having a piece of road debris kick up on I-95 and put a 3" x 1/2" gash in the sidewall of her right front tire at 60mph. She was ok but the tire was toast, so in that way we were very lucky.

@BalutTaco Get yourself a tire plug kit and and air compressor and learn how to use them. They can come in very handy when you are in the middle of nowhere (Death Valley).

How come we can catch those kinds of odds to destroy a tire but can't do the same with a Powerball ticket? :)

This is what one of my tires caught last summer on I-10 headed towards Palm Springs.

OP I would try and remove the screw; chances are good that it’s barely in your tread and will be fine.

Screw head doesn't look like it's been worn down from driving.
