Thanks 265 70 17 ko2s. I installed pro fox shocks front and rear that I got from a TW member. It leveled it out perfectly. 20210319_190818.jpg 20210319_190848.jpg

This right here seems logical...considering I added a Talon CAT plate on my Sport (which does not have the TRD Pro skid plate) and just removed and replaced the regular allen/hex bolts with security bolts. It's a PITA having to keep removing the bolts. Plus, having to use manual torqueing as opposed to cordless impact drill which can cause damaged/locked bolt heads.

Where did you see that price at previously? The OEM Parts Store one is the best I've found.
I'm doing my best to not order things before all of the deals are released, but I'm getting really mouse button click happy over here...

After doing a lot of searching online, I found the best price at Schaumburg Toyota. The price ended up being a combination of stacked discounts from the dealer and Toyota for black Friday.

I sent an online message to the dealership in Illinois...let's see if they can make a great deal to a Delawarean like they did for you from Tennessee!

Just to throw my .02 into the mix, I get some pretty gnarly rocks out here where I wheel in the desert. Started out with the TRD skid and ended up gouging it up real nice and ultimately cracking it. Switched to RCI full steel skids. Those aren't bomb proof either. I wound up denting in the oil access plate to the point where it was difficult to remove. Happily, RCI sells replacement panels.

I sacrifice weight & mpg for better protection based on my needs.

By the way if you see somebody with the TRD skid and the red letters still attached, good indication they don't take their rig offroad (or at least nothing serious). I lost those letters the first time I had it out.

    Beautiful "Eye Candy".

Finally able to see this photo.

    Fantastic!

That looks like the skid plate currently on my '21 Sport.

Why do I feel like I pulled off 2 separate sections of "skids" on my stock '21 OR when i put the Pro on?

I believe the plate on an OR is different than a Sport.

I put one on when the clowns at the dealership destroyed the nuts welded to the stub frame that holds the front of the flimsy ass
sheetmetal on. The factory metal piece is actually referred to as splash guard, in the parts manual. Probably some of the better money to spend on a tacoma if your going to go off road.

I got one a couple of weeks ago and really like it. Did mine to change the look of the truck away from the Sport "air dam" look, with the added benefit of more protection. My truck is a 4x2 and the most off-road I go is dirt and gravel so this is all I will ever need.
