You are correct Mr Sno! I found this: https://www.speclubes.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/SLIPKOTE-Moly-Paste.pdf

    Nice find!

    MOLYBDENUM DISULFIDE 1317‐33‐5 55 to 20 (%)

I am assuming that means between 20% and 55%, so between 13x and 110x more moly than 'Liquid-Moly'. Now the question is if there is enough moly to give 700ppm on factory oil when liquid moly (assuming LM) gives only 200ppm. At up to 110x more moly I can see some assembly lube providing a higher PPM on drain of the first oil.

While it may look like it, I am not entirely convinced that the high Moly content is exclusively from the assembly lube. According to my oil analysis I've only seen high Moly content mostly from Japanese manufacturers. All of my German cars had much lower content (around 200-300ppm). Did they think that the assembly lube Moly was enough? Did Japanese car makers added more in to the factory fill?

    certainly a fair point.

The only thing I would say is that moly works against the break in process as I understand it. Obviously you don't want a ton of wear on an engine, but aside form keeping the components from touching on the very first start "break in" is the parts "fitting" themselves together, an ANTI-wear component would work against that.

These trucks would run on used fry oil from McDonald’s. What is the big deal?

I could see if I built the engine from the block up for racing with super tight tolerances, otherwise fry up some chicken and then poor the oil into the filler hole after finished finger lickin’
