Pro tip: there is a hole through the fire wall that has a grommet filling it. Drivers side of the brake master is where you'll find it...

Pop the grommet out, put a small hole in it, spread it open with some needle nose and then put your wire through it. Now you have a clean hole through the fire wall without having to put holes in other grommets/ boots that wires are already filling or drilling other holes through the fire wall!

Thanks! Installation was pretty easy too, although like any running board it takes a little finesse to prop it up while wrenching in the first bolt. Having a friend around to center it would probably help.

I like the style of this one, with a uniform height and plenty of room to step on it, without sacrificing ground clearance.

Plus the accent of the black against the cement body is an appealing look. My 5'2" wife can now get in the passenger seat without having to do a hand spring into the cab...

 

Does it function as an actual step when getting out of the truck, or is it in the way?

 

Literally a steal Tom. They look great on your Cement. Only got mine for rocker protection from snow/ice/salt but I've come to love the way they look. And they're sturdy as hell.

 

Good question, I'm fairly tall so I mostly bypass it when I hop in, but my wife loves it, and I noticed even the dog stepped out on the way down out of the cab today.

On a practical level for me, it helped when I washed the top of the cab and if I need to reach over the front of the bed to drop something in.

 

It's true, i noticed they were still in my Amazon wishlist and last I checked they were about $400, so I bought at the right time.

But agreed, I highly recommend them for both the look and how solid they feel. I'm about 215 pounds and when I put my full weight on them the whole truck moves like they're part of the frame itself.

 

Finished up some fitment and rear bumper stuff. Need to install rear lights and get some 35s

Day one of the Magnuson install done. Had to use dolly's to get the truck to where I could work on it with the door closed!

Last week: installed low-temp radiator and coolant pump

Today: Re-programmed ECM, drained fluids, removed intake and associated parts down to the heads, changed spark plugs (recommended, not required, but I was in there anyways), bolted fuel rail to new lower intake.

Tomorrow: Everything else. Hopefully.

Ya, I've known Mark for years. My wife drove up to pick ours up (6hrs each way) while I was at work, she tried to get them install while there, but they wouldn't But agree they have a great team.

Yeah, I found that out this summer as well. I got an upgraded tailgate for my F-250 and took it to my buddies body shop to have him spray it for me. I pulled up and we were talking and he asked me to go drive my truck through the car wash (covered in mud from my weekend excursion). I told him I had the paint code and he kind of laughed……walked back with the samples from my paint code and there were over 60 of the exact same color! So I went through the car wash, drove back and after about 30 minutes he finally picked the color he felt matched best (I’m color blind so the ALL looked great to me!). He told me the same thing, depends on what plant it was painted, what month, what batch, etc. I had NO idea - I thought you give them the paint code and waalaa - done. He told me 25-30 years ago it was more like that, but not anymore. Ended up turning out perfect, but man I had no idea!

 

Bumpershellz bumper chrome delete. I think this looks sooooo much better, only took about 20 minutes to install. Now just to get rid of these chromed out tail lights.

Looks good! I bought a set of OEM 2020+ TRD Pro taillights from Toyota a few months ago. They usually range between $250-$350+. There are cheaper options but I think the newer TRD Pro taillights look the best on these tacomas so its worth it in my opinion

 

Agree. I've got the same taillights.

 

those are nice!!! I’ll have to call around about those. Don’t know the year model off the top of my head but the red and smoke TRD off road tail light is what I was picturing. Thanks for sharing!
