Recently purchased a 21 TRD OR in Barcelona Red. Looking at starting my build and im a bit overwhelmed. I'm not a hard core off road guy, but live in WA state and there's places to explore. Also, I plan on keeping this truck a while and could see myself adding sliders, bumper, winch, RTT some time down the line and maybe checking out the overlanding scene. Leaning towards a 2-3" suspension lift with some tires. Currently running the stock 16's.
    My questions:
Whats a decent suspension lift that doesn't break the bank, can handle the potential weight I may add, and can perform better than average?
Do i keep the stock 16 wheels and replace the stock all-terrain wrangler tires? Or bump up to 17's? Trying to avoid rubbing in any situation.
The only thing im certain of is these wheels need to go, or plasti dip? I want matte black, cheap. Their wheels, who cares?
Would like to avoid cutting, but open to it if its the right fit.
I would appreciate photos for inspiration with build mods if you're willing to share, or anything I should consider before I start. Trying to avoid replacing things in the future I should of done right the first time....

Also would love to take advantage of black friday if anyone has a link!!

Don’t get overwhelmed. Just go out and enjoy it stock. Upgrade as you go along with whatever you need first. More than likely it might be tires first.

Look dude you can go plenty of places stock.that being said nothing wrong with suspension.

I'd reccomend looking at bikstein 5100's and an add a leaf. Cost significantly less than whatever you think you'll need and if you dondexise you want to push it more you can adjust from that.

Im very happy with the lift I just put on. About 1.5" on the 4 corners. Billy 5100's, Icon AAL = ~$600 (installed with a friend so no labor). I did go to 17" wheels and 275/70r17's; no rubbing and not needed, I did for me and my likes.

You’ll be fine staying stock - doing some exploring - THEN figuring out what you really/actually need.
    Driver >> mods.
