I cannot find my answer in the search field, but if I remember correctly when you turn the lighting switch to the parking lights, the drl's brightness diminishes, but still work compared to when the switch is in the auto position.

Is there a way to remove that feature so that the drl's are the same brightness at all times no matter where the switch is located? I wouldn't even care if they were at same brightness when headlights are on.

This is so I can drive with parking lights on and have drl's at the same brightness as if the switch was set to auto. I like having rear parking lights on while driving, even during the day, but don't want to lose the brightness of the drl's

Solved: I re-wired the oemassive drl/signal socket. Not ideal, but it works the best the way I want it to work so right now if the switch is in auto, the drl's don't work (yes I'm sure I'll get flack for this), but if I turn the switch to parking lights (where I want the switch 95% of the time), the drl's are full brightness. If anyone wants to wire it up the same, this picture shows you how I wired it up

Hey man, I wanna do the same thing to mine. however mine are the morimoto headlights but I’m hoping I’ll get the same result.

Do you have pics you can send me showing how the wires where stock vs how they are showing here on this pic?

also did you rearrange its respective conector or did you just move the wires around on the connector corresponding to the headlight?

FYI, the DRL Brightness changes to a dimmer level when the LOW beam is selected.

Im aware of that, that’s what this mod is about, modding the drl so that it doesn’t alternate in brightness whether the beams are on or not.

    No worries man.

also, I figured it out and it worked like a charm. Thanks for doing the info on how to do this. It’s not ideal but it works as intended.

    Yes, yes it does.
Fogs require the parking circuit to be selected.

Zat ist your turn signal connector...o_O
If your Tacoma version doesn't have LED DRL, then there's no connector like the OP posted.

For non-led DRL the turn signal does dual function, steady for DRL, flashing for Turn with same bulb.
PM @Puppypunter, he has a drl solution for SR that might achieve what you want.

I have the Morimoto XB Gen 2's. Looking to keep full brightness on the DRLs when the stalk is in the Parking Light position so I can have my dash and tails lit up. Not exactly sure how to achieve this, any information anyone can provide is much appreciated, I'm not familiar with wiring. Thanks in advance.
