no need to provide your zip, I wouldn’t want to do so myself, I shouldn’t have asked.

below is a picture of ev chargers between Lexington KY and Knoxville, hardly the EV capitols of the United States. Standard 110v public “wall” outlets available for public use were excluded so these are 220v or faster chargers.

Wawa's are installing 8 per store. Look in the back corner of newer ones and you'll see Tesla boxes dropped off.

    It's happening rather quickly.

Have a buddy who has a really nice Tacoma and is getting a Rivian. He’s in WA state and I’m in Michigan, but certainly will be asking him about it. FWIW - I like the looks of the Rivian.

But will that increase the price of my breakfast burrito in the long run? There have been times that wawa does not have the menu items I want. This has happened before shortages became a thing. It's a simple logistics problem, no meats no lettuce, I'm not getting a cold cut. Not a real problem, but still. What if wawa or where ever can't get electricity?

If a Wawa can't get electricity, the gas pumps won't work as well.

i highly doubt Wawa is giving the electricity away for free. They will sell it just like they sell gasoline

I rarely go to WaWa, except for the breakfast sandwiches and coffee to me the quality is terrible. I got a gobbler sandwich yesterday and I threw it out after a few bites. Just awful. I've been going to WaWa for 25 years and remeber when the deli meats were hand sliced.

Local target gives you free 2 hours of electricity at ChargePoint to use while shopping. I don’t use since I have lifetime free juice at any Tesla supercharger.

Yeah but if I'm there for a charge I won't care what the gas pumps are doing.

What if the power is out, or not enough power to run the chargers, or it's a brown out and the power company reduces power distribution?

Do people still go in the store, or do they shop from the screen in their Tesla and pick up curbside?

Actually, most do their shopping. Target has food, beer, so I rarely wait in car. Also a nice Starbucks. I think as ev’s become more popular, business will use as a perk to shop.

Power out - no charging, gas, some food
not enough power to run chargers - not gonna happen
brown out - usually warnings and would be foolish to try and charge during a brown out.

I don't think it happens at commercial businesses. The power company can restrict the power being distributed to any location they serve.

If Tesla caravan shows up on a hot day and they all plug in at once, maybe the utility shuts down the chargers for a few hours.

I don't know anyone who really wants an EV, and I think the people who are serious about owning one are a small minority.
