I bought it 4 hours away so I taped off the bumper and mirrors to avoid any rock chips until I got the clear bra put on those areas; that happened today so it looks normal again.

They are the Toyo Open Country A/T III LT 265/70/17. being the LT they have 3/32nds more tread than non LT. They do not rub at all but they are about a quarter inch away from rubbing at the front at full lock. Love them so far!

Rim tire set up looks sweet man! I have the oem trd sport Sema 17x7 with 4mm offset rims. Putting them on my 22 Sport when it comes in. Are you running that same size rim as I will be, and what brand and size tires are in this pic. Looking for no rub, flaps staying on hopefully. Cheers Al

    Thanks bud.

I changed my stock Sport wheels to the 17 x 7 Sema wheels but was disappointed with the flat black against my shinny VooDoo Blue. I then changed to a set of FWS wheels in gloss black. They're a replica of the Pro wheel.

The FSW wheels are 17 x 8 with a 0 offset. The smaller offset moved the tires more outboard. I gives the truck a nice wide stance without the rubber poking out too far. I've attached a drawing I came up with to see in my own mind what the different offset and wheel width would look like.

The tires are Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S 265/70/17. I'm very happy with the looks and ride.

I also leveled the front with a pair of Bilstein 5100's set on the third level to lift it about 1.1 inch.

    No rubs. Happy camper.

Wow great help man! I totally agree with matte colours. They look dull, add that along with tires also looking dull, make a great paint colour also dull. Well I just bought the exact same tires as you did for my 22 sport in MGM. Putting them on some sema's in gloss Gunmetal. Hope the 4mm is enough not to rub, If not, it looks like 5100's are up next. Hey thanks again. Take care Al

Due to it not being recommended and stuck now with 17x7 rims I moved up to 265 70 17 Cooper Discoverer at3 4s. Now I hope the dam things don't rub when I get my rig in December.

Those wheels are gonna look excellent with the magnetic grey metallic! Be sure to post some pictures.
You're going to like the tires also. I looked at ALL the tires available based on snow rating (I see you're in Ontario), weight, and country of origin. The Coopers won out for me.
And I'm betting you won't have any rub issues either.

And you're my kinda guy too.

You've got a new set of wheels and tires ready and the truck isn't even there yet! I WOULD TOTALLY DO THAT!

    LOL

Thanks man, ya I'm hoping no rubbing. And yes I've got tires rims for both winter and summer, boards, LEDs head and fogs and interior, decals, and audio all waiting in the garage. I better get this truck lol. Will send pics

Also have a Nephew not far from Chesterfield Michigan. Already got snow here in Barrie (snow belt) Big Red Wings fan too!

    Ahhh, cool.

Our daughter lives near Brantford so we get over there quite often.

Question for those who are smarter than me on this subject. I have a set of 17x8 with a zero offset and 4.5” backspacing that I was thinking about putting on my 21 Tacoma TRD OR. I am at stock height with no plans to change the suspension. It seems the recommended tire size is 265/70/17. Since these wheels are an inch wider and in diameter than the stock wheels, will any rubbing be a concern?
