What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Yup, I took my stocker flaps off when I bought my truck in June and put them back on once the weather turned and the side of my truck started looking like some sort of abstract painting. I'll probably take them back off in the summer.

I did trim them up since the stockers look like four lunch trays slapped on the wheel wells.

 

Oh snap, that's a bummer. But thanks for letting us know, I was about to order from them myself but maybe not....

 

Ya, They are getting bob cut soon. I just want enough for the general splatter.

 

For sure. I may have gone a tad too short on the fronts since Im still seeing some splatter on my front doors, but it's WAY better than no flaps. Haha

If I'm being honest, I actually think they look pretty cool now that they're shortened up....but maybe that's just because I know I made em that way.

I have Ridge Pods behind the grill if i want brite.

 

I hated the OEM wind sails IMO so I bought some flat ones on EBay that are actually flexible so it is easy to kick off the mud in summer and snow in winter.

 

My SC arrived this week, now planning and plotting for install over the xMas holiday break. Waiting on other parts from under the tree to do all at the same time.

 

Ordered Caliraised low profile brackets. Lights get ordered tomorrow because by then I should have $80 worth of Amazon gift certificates to take a little out of the price of my spot lights.

 

I’ve got a light bar behind the grille. I just need to hook it up to my bright light switch. I’m not fast enough to get to the dash switch and I’m blinding people!

 

Didn’t they let you know that you needed a re-torque after about 100km? (60miles)

 

They didn't put the normal reminder, but I normally do anyway, and I forgot this time. Not blaming them for this, definitely on me for the brain fart LOL. Good reminder to me to just check stuff periodically.

 

Mountain Hatch arrived today. Ton of cash for a flat tailgate seat, but at least it was $50 off for November. The OEM corrugated insert is such a minor detail, but goddamn I hated the fact that it made my tailgate ‘table’ basically useless. Still no plans to dice jalapeños or chop carne asada on it, but never say never.

 

My knob is one of Ricks knobs, the boots and seats at this point all have blue stitching. It doesn’t stand out, like a contrasting stitching. But it looks good, pictures never do it justice.

They are Vision Flows and are 16s with a zero offset. Got them at Discount Tire.

Took my son fishing after his hockey game. Let him drive on the beach. Didn’t catch anything but the moon rising looked amazing. Photos do not do it justice.
