Oh I know it is always low. Gives Americans more buying power over us.
For example that 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport for 41,000.00 CAD probably looking at 30,000 US still lots of money for a 4 year old truck.

Provide evidence that the FTC is investigating auto dealerships for price gouging. Or stop making posts like this.

Also, as I’ve asked you before, post just one instance of an auto dealership being fined for price gouging.

Large Tacoma markups may be a lot of things, but they are not price gouging. No one needs to go buy a Tacoma to survive. The markups are due in large part to popularity and scarcity, and in no part due to necessity. Period. End of story.

I ruin the country by wanting people to stop trying to force private businesses to do what they want them to do?

    Ok buddy.

For my credit union if the loan to value is >110% then the APR is slightly higher. I am not sure what the maximum is. I believe it’s dependent on the applicants credit rating.

Yes, and it doesn’t seem to be any different anywhere else.

Lets hope the OP doesn't doesn't go to a gasoline station, need to rent a car, stops at the home improvement center for materials for or buys groceries as it sounds like if Tacoma prices have him in shock then he's about to have a wake up call.

Here you go again. It’s definitely shows how ignorant uneducated people are. Here in a few years if not sooner when all this goes down I’ll revive the thread on a Friday just for the laugh and make sure to tag you in on it.

Curious because I see the opposite. There's a very large off roading community up here and everyone takes their cars to the bush however I see more Sports than anything else. The off road is much more comfortable on FSRs.

My dealer offered me $29k for my 2017 DCSB OR with their estimate of 50k miles on it (not too far off, actually). And that was not including the requirement of using it for a trade in!

Lol, “here in a few years”. Sure bud.

Since I’m so ignorant, please educate me by kindly pointing out the federal price gouging statute under which the FTC would be investigating auto dealerships. I’ll go out on a limb and say that there’s no such statute. Prove me wrong. Otherwise members of Congress wouldn’t be literally exploring means to pass such a law (you know, because there isn’t currently such legislation).

By all means, tell us what your role is that provides you such inside scoop to such secret investigations. And why you would then come on a truck forum to discuss.

It’s incredibly lame to come on here posting vague crap, and when challenged, say “oh you’ll see a few years from now”. By all means, tag me when the first dealership gets nailed to the wall by the FTC or any other federal agency.

Read a post here, turned down $50K for a TRD Sport. What ?? Where is this at ? I have a new 4WD 2021 TRD Tacoma OR-4 DR in my garage with 2477 miles on the odo, still smells new inside, and nice options. Maybe I can get $60K. :) ???
KBB puts this '21 Tacoma trade value high end, $44K+. Think a dealer is going to give me that ? Not in a million years.
