Ugliest Color for 2nd Gens

Went for the silver, looks nice to me, cool contrast with the black overfenders. My wife has "arrest me red" on her VW and I knew I didn't want that kind of attention!

 

That's just the sound of jealousy!!!

 

Honestly, None of them are ugly because regardless of the color, its still our beloved tacoma haha.

 

Impulse Red, i love it . it looks good with black accessories. Cant wait to finish her look.

After having two black vehicles prior I can say for silver

Never need to wash it
Cannot see dings really have to look for them
Doesn't get hot to touch
Unpainted fender flares don't look like base they look like they were ordered that way..Black accents look great, black wheels look great, black door handles look great.

Has a more rugged look overall less showy. Both Tacomas I owned in my life were silver. Off roading the first one did not show a lot of dirt and "Arizona pinstriping"

I liked the blue but for the price i had to go with the silver i got but personally i dont like the timberland mica saw one on the showroom floor but have yet seen one on the road.....

 

I voted Desert Sand Mica. And to think that was the color I originally wanted. That color belongs on an older model tundra or a Chevy Silverado, but it does no justice to the Tacoma. Not to mention that color used to only be available in the base model 4-banger, so every time I see that color I think base model.

I have the silver streak mica, but I truly wish I had the Barcelona red. When its detailed properly, it looks beautiful, with a quality sealant and carnuba wax treatment.

Speedway Blue, although not my cup of tea to drive, is very bold and I admire it when I see it, especially on a X-Runner. Its as unique a color as I have seen on a truck. I dig it mucho.

 

Mine's Indigo Ink. I didn't have much of a choice since I bought it used and spent 2 weeks just to find something acceptable as far as price and model, but I really love that color. It looks super sharp when it's clean and against the white letter sidewalls.

I also went to look at a Speedway Blue (which at that point I liked better) but once I saw mine I didn't make it all the way to the other dealership.

none of the colors really stand out to me as ugly, but some just aren't for me.

 

Silver is the ugliest color in not only the second gens, but also every other car/model ever built.

 

I'm really surprised that nearly 1/3 of the votes are for Speedway Blue.

I'm not...That is a L O U D color that screams "look at me" I don't think Tacomas need that much attention. Most truck owners are more into the subdued colors it seems. Red and Blue are pretty "in your face" colors...

Silver disappears in traffic (and from the law) looks clean when dirty. It's seems to be a neutral unassuming "truck color" as is white and black.

 

Speedway Blue is the most god awful color in the universe. So I purchased a 2011 Speedway Blue Double Cab TRD Off road last weekend. FTW.

i hear they were going to call the color god damn blue, but it wouldn't pass the focus groups in the south.

 

White can look good with the right accessories, but stock makes like a rental vehicle...RENTAL CAR WHITE!
