Prolly try to hack into the electrical system for some mod or try to reprogram one of the multiple ECUs.

The results will likely be entertaining.

You don’t think that after almost 10 years that this would be the norm with Teslas, if it were possible?

I’m kind of digging the EV Hummer, I thought that was a great way to “revive” the brand.

Yes, the Tesla has been around for 10 years.

Although, it is still not a common vehicle on the road.

I have noticed in this area that what few are around go into hibernation when the outdoor temperature begins to stay below 32*F. Sightings become more rare.

Although, I could be wrong. But I think battery performance and power delivery begin to tank below 32*F.

Tesla hacks are pretty popular. Look up Ghost mode for the model three.

Rich Rebuilds had some good videos on these, well until he turned into an internet troll…

I wouldn’t mind an EV truck or van, have been driving since I was 10…so doing it for 40 years now. The one thing I have grown to hate is going to gas station, with my old truck was there twice a week…new truck is a little better, once a week. Drive roughly 2000 miles/month. That alone makes me want an EV, could do most of the charging at home. Majority of my longer moto/camping trips that I do throughout the year, mapped it out where I like to go, would only have to recharge once on the road.

Can’t wait until they figure out electric dirt bikes, the thought of cruising trails in darn near silence is very appealing. Plus being able to adjust the power delivery with a touch of a button, lower maintenance, no pipes to smash, no worry about drowning them in creek crossings.

Electric motorcycles are already available. Street versions, don't know about dirt or enduro type.

Have ridden the KTM and the Alta, very impressive. Range is the only thing holding them back. Be ok for track use, I need at least 80 miles for the stuff I like to do. At the time the KTM only went 13 miles. Think they are a little better now though, but not quite there for me personally.

Had high hopes for Alta, but went out of business, though rather wait for one of the larger manufacturers to buy from when the time comes. KTM, Honda, etc…

many folks are liking the Zero bikes. They have been around for a while now so they seem to be doing well enough as a company

My wife bought a turn table for nostalgic reasons, she used to work in a record store years and years ago. Used it a few times, forgot how much a pain in the ass they were. LOL! I like my Spotify much much better…

Interesting, I didn’t know about that since I have a Model S so I don’t follow the other model hacks. I was thinking about hacks that took the performance beyond what Tesla offers in any variant.

I won’t claim this is the most impressive of mods but their proposed performance numbers are nice.

    https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-3-plugin-performance-boost-module/

iirc an actual performance model 3 has three inverters, the non performance versions have two. If so then modifying a performance variant could yield even better numbers.
This was all a while back, it could be far improved by now.
I think it was the same company that were fixing the no-charge issue. Tesla themselves just replaces the eram, this company actually stops the system from logging the data drastically increasing longevity.

As much as I love the art work of Syd Mead, couldn’t do the cyber truck…stands out too much for me. Though majority of trucks out today are ridiculous looking, don’t even like the looks of my 3rd Gen. Cars don’t really work for what I need…so don’t even look at Tesla’s, price is waaaay more than I want to spend anyways. Rivian is probably the best looking, oval headlights are kinda dorky looking though. The Ford Lightening would probably get my money if Toyota drags their feet too long, of course they always do.

Vette would only get me into trouble, already had my license suspended for drag racing muscle cars when I was teen. Though I could do an electric FJ 40 for my midlife crisis vehicle, but money would be better spent on an electric 4WD Sprinter to haul the electric dirt bikes in…

Square Body, meh we owned a few. There was a time I wanted a resto mod…think I am over it. Used to be really into cars, now I just a reliable appliance to travel in. Life is waaay too short to waste it messing around in the garage.

Electric quad motor Sprinter with autopilot, so maintaining your spot centered in the lane is easy with a larger vehicle not so you could nap while driving, would be killer.

i won’t claim the CT is nice looking, it’s not. I like oddball so I like it, what I DONT like is the perceived “look at me” owning one will have. If, IF, I were to get one I would wrap it to tone it down. Weird how white and red tones that truck DOWN.
    30289DA0-9D89-4D5A-88CA-1C9A4205DE03.jpg
The cars are nice but I would want the performance variant and that’s too much to spend to not have a truck. The single and dual motor are just appliances to me and I can get appliances for much cheaper.

I would likely get in trouble with a vette too. And a square body is just to be brash and dumb, probably not a good combo.

Of course we could look at it this way, there were years and years of fantastic looking concept vehicles way back when…but never made it to production, we always got some watered down version of it. Now the production models look like the concepts. I don’t hate the CT, but love the looks of the current Cadillac Escalade. They did the squared off body right. Cleaner not as busy as the GM trucks. The design language is close to the LC300, which I like. Too bad the new Tundra didn’t get the same front clip.

Color on the CT does tone it down a bit. If Paramagnetic paint would become reality could be even cooler than a wrap. Change the color depending on your mood.

I’ll check out Jerry Rig, thanks!

Wouldn’t it!? Drives through Nevada and Texas are awful, set it on auto pilot to cover the worst part of the trip…and wake me up when it gets interesting and/or time to unload the bikes.

Lol smart. I’ve thought about this with model 3. When ppl say good luck finding chargers. Uhhhh technically there are way more outlets in the world vs remote gas stations …. Technically. I know it’s 110v and takes hours but just sayin. Technically ur even less limited with an ev due to there just being more electricity outlets around the world vs gas pumps. Just knock on someone’s door and be like hey can I run this extension cord outside lol.

I bet that Volvo that got towed paid less for the tow fee ($400?) versus all the gasoline that he would’ve bought all this time . Lol

    Just sayin, think about it….
