I got a 2020 Trek fuel ex 8. Which had been pretty upgraded by the guy who owned it.. then he realized he's a medium frame. I'm stoked. More than $1k cheaper than the current model and in a color I like. All black.

I took of the roof rack and put the Toyos back on for winter. I can't believe how different it looks! As much as I love the MT's, it's pretty damn enjoyable having these nice quiet AT's back on. It's like driving a luxury car around.

Thanks @Camerasandcoffee it rides super nice. I was reccomended to get a fuel ex. Based on reading it was either a remedy, fuel ex or a slash from Trek because it's local and I can get some help easily.

Otherwise I looked at a YT Jeffy but a small doesn't even have a date for when they will make more...

For the treks I ruled out the slash because $$$ but also my friend who used is a super good action sports athlete basically said he has a slash but goes out west. For anything in Wisconsin and even in the UP it would be overkill and harder to ride uphill. Remedy or fuel ex. Well the remedy is discontinued next year but the standover height was too high...

And @Thatbassguy yeah the 4runner looks a bit naked now. Is that for mpg then?

    Ha! Yes, it feels naked!

Yes, MPG. But, also MT's are terrible in winter. The Toyos are much better for winter driving. And, quieter! It will be a much more pleasant drive to Florida this year. :)

I have to admit that I have thought about bringing the roof rack down. Nobody notices a 4Runner unless there's shit on the roof.

It was nice having the MT's on this past winter. But, for travelling, they kinda suck. When you're driving 4000 miles in 2 weeks, you really start to care about fuel economy.

    Lmao!!

I only ran to Utah and back but those miles went on the Subaru. Getting 33 through Iowa and Nebraska at 80... Dropped to 27 when I hit altitude hahaha
