@Diode Dynamics How does the Backlit SS3 fogs work with the factor wiring? Will there need to be a separate switch to active the back light vs the fog lights? Thanks

I think the idea is that you would tie the backlights into your headlights, parking lights, turn signals, or DRL's. I'm curious if you tied into the DRL's about what would happen when the DRL's dim when the headlights are turned on.

There will be an adapter included that converts 2-pin to 4-pin, leaving a singular wiring coming out the back for you to tap whatever power source you'd like.
Correct on the "usual" tie in being probably parking light or DRL. I have confirmed that the SSC2s would allow a low/hi backlit function if given the right amount of juice, but not sure if they would hi/low on DRL trigger. That is a curious one!

    Colton is correct!

There will be a wire lead to tap to the source of your choice to signal the amber backlight to illuminate.

hey @Diode Dynamics im having a really hard time getting my driver's side fog aimed (2006 TRD OR). I have the adjustment screw pulled basically all the way out and both allens loose and I'm struggling to even muscle it low enough to get the cutoff where i need it.

Passenger side seemed to go about where I need it to.

Any tips or tricks you can recommend? Something seems off, but I'm not sure what.

Take some pictures of the assembly and the bucket if you can. @memario1214 might also be able to help you troubleshoot.

Hmm... Yeah pics might help me as well. He's saying all of the right things in relation to where the ball-head screw is and how the light should respond. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the SS3 is bound up in the bezel somehow because it should be able to have some adjustability in there.

@Diode Dynamics I just installed my SS3 Pro in a combo and am wondering if I can install a SSC1 next to it using a 2 pin connector. I am not interested in the backlight feature, just want the regular output. I'm curious what I need to do to run the SSC1 next to my SS3 (non-backlight)?

    Thanks!

The only plug that will fit into the C1 is the 4-pin connector. Just plug the 2 pins you aren't using (backlight and blank). If you want them to turn on with the SS3 lights, you could probably make a daisy chain connector to make that work off of the original wiring. If you want them to switch independently, you'll need to run new wiring.
