Is there enough snow? Our mountain is still bare. Looks like we do have a small storm headed in tomorrow that will hopefully put some white stuff on the mountain. I am itching to get up.

 

I should have brought my Board up here to Portland.. seeing Shasta, Hood, etc all out in the distance on our drive up was such a tease.

 

And hood is only about a hour and ten minutes or so. You up there right now? You hit todd up?

 

Purg is open if one feels like making a drive for some mostly man-made turns.

 

Yes! Meeting him for Brunch in a few hours. Just relaxing, having coffee and enjoying this thick ass fog and planning routes. Lol Just saw the weather report on the news for Hood.. 49 and clear. would have been perfect. Weather is moving in though.. trying to plan our route back down south. Thinking we're going to get another room here for the night in Portland since we won't be done with install until 4 or so. We'll hit the road early Tuesday morning towards the coast and Cannon Beach. Then drive south until we find somewhere to camp for the night. Wednesday head to the Redwoods and drive through.. then find camp. Thursday maybe head towards/through San Fran.. after that.. nothing really else. Maybe cut over back inland some.

 

Oh hell yeah! And I would do the same with the hotel tonight again. Well that road trip sounds awesome! Make sure you guys are taking lots of pics! I am Jelly.

 

I was hesitant.. because in my mind it defeats the purpose staying in a hotel.. but.. I also didn't want to start driving and trying to find camp at night in the rain for our first night with it. Lol Tuesday were supposed to have some decent weather so that's when we'll make the drive and the see the Coast. I've been trying to!

So far, stopped by the International Car Forest again and got to take Lyd to Crater Lake. Just as awesome as I remember it when I was a kid.

 

Sweet. I have never actually been to Crater Lake. And I think I told you to look up Browns camp offroading area. Its kinda on the way out to Canon Beach. Its pretty easy to find a spot in there to camp for the night if you do want to drive a little bit and try to camp. That would be your best bet if you dont want the hotel.

 

Theyve been making snow for a few weeks now. The last week it has actually gotten legitimately cold. 20s in town at night and Im sure teens on the mountain. Calling for teens in town this week and a chance of precip tomorrow.

Oh nice. They havent started here with the snow making yet. And same precipitation here so fingers crossed dude. I hope its a good winter.

 

Aww man! You guys would love it. It worked out being along our way up from Reno. Well damn.. we got the room for another night, but that's good to know. We will be looking for spots just North of Crescent City Tuesday night. Then just North of San Fran Wednesday night.

 

Yeah one day I will go. And thats great make it easier on yourself so youre not rushing to get out of town then setting up in the dark.

 

We got goodies man! One for you and I. Was great seeing Todd and catching up. Wish we could have had more time. We'll all have to make a trip and meet up in Reno!

 

Thats Dope! And yeah there is a small plan in the works to head up in May to surprise todd for his bday. And I got something for you too. He mailed me. That Reno drive isnt as terrible as I thought it would be. Did it straight thru and back without much of a problem.

 

When you go see him grab some flex head ratchet wrenches for me lol.

 

IF he has 2 sets. But you are SOL if he only has one set

Snowbowl just announced they open this Wednesday 11/24 "expert terrain only" 1 run all man made. Must buy tickets online or have a season pass. Probably going to be a madhouse with people in town for the holiday. Ill be down in Phoenix until most likely Sunday but we close on the Flagstaff house Monday so Ill prob ski next week if anyone wants to take their life in their own hands alongside me
