I bought a second hand roof rack for my 2009 taco and I am missing one of the bolts that secure the cross bars at one end (quick release on the other end). I am having no luck tracking one down either so hopefully somebody can help, thanks in advance.

I tried my best to look for you.
Best I got was in the links below. Which never lead me to a parts kit or the bolt.
The parts list says it’s an M6 size.
I believe it’s called the hinge screw.

Here is a link to the part #’s.
I had no luck finding the screw kit.
Maybe you can do better than me at finding it.

The only thing I found that looks close is one for a Subaru and it too is an M6 size.
What I don’t know is the head diameter or the length. But it sure looks close.

Here is install instructions that list it as an M6

You may be able to find it at Fastenal.
    Who makes the roof rack?

I was told the roof rack is OEM from a 2021 taco but I have no way to prove it.

The link you sent looks to be the exact bolt, I may just order it, give it a shot and report back

Finally received the bolt for the roof rack and it’s a perfect fit, threads right into the square nut that comes with the racks. Thanks for all the help!

Can you post the part number so others can find it as well?

Oh, WTF? The quoted version of that post has the info but the real post does not. That’s why I missed it.
Also, really odd that it took finding this as a Subaru part. Toyota must have a part number as well.

Maybe at the dealer, searching online was completely futile
