No, thank gawd - but I've had near misses and actual encounters in the mid-west and deep-south.
Seems the further south you go the stupider they get too.. LOL

Had one literally walk into the side of an old Ford Taurus I was driving while I was stopped at a 4-way.
Damn thing just walked right into the car-door. This was in Mississippi so that supports my stupider theory.

In the mid-west ( Kansas-plains ) they'd come at you in small herds running along side your car on a road and then
just cut across in front of you. They appear to be smarter out west, where I've had no encounters with them.

I should win a nobel-prize for my ramblings on deer IQ.

Deer woke up and chose violence.

I get that. I live a few miles from a very rural portion of So.Cal. which has a freeway (actually a Toll Road) cut around the edges of it and Deer strikes are fairly common. Just yesterday one of my co-workers spotted a fresh kill on the side of the road up there with a smashed BMW SUV parked nearby.

I picked up truck today after repairs. Excellent job job by Gerber Quality Collision in Rhinelander WI. Can't find anything to pick apart. Looks like it never happened at all.

That skid mark on the door reminds me of this one time at the strip club…

wait. Maybe I shouldn’t tell this story.

I hit one beginning of October. Took about a month for parts / scheduling and little under 2 weeks to repair. Right around $6k for very similar damage - my fender wasn’t as bad, I hit mine at the license plate.
