Did you get assembled hubs or did you assemble them?

We assembled them, all OEM parts.

Jeremiah's little 6 ton press did the job for us with no issues.

Oh yeah eh. Didn’t need any special tooling or anything? Always thought you needed tolling to hold stuff so it wouldn’t move around? I always thought it was a pia to do it that route.

It went pretty easy tbh. Just have to take your time, make sure its all lined up and the correct inserts are used.

Jeremiah has a kit for his press with many many many inserts. Just a little 6 ton press from princess auto.

Hmmm. Good to know. I have the ten or 12 ton bench top one. I’ll look into pricing and see if it’s worth going oem. With the ammount of miles I do and ease of doing a bearing I don’t mind having to change 2 out for the life of one oem you know. Assuming price point makes sense.

    Yea OEM is $$

I missed 2 parts as well, needed 1 more seal, and the dust cap for the end of the hub.

Lucky the seal's were in ok shape and we could reuse them.

    90301A0005 - Seal

But I cant find the dust cap #

#4 on this parts list, that the number is not listed.

We did not separate anything. We pressed the new ones together. New hubs, new bearings.

I am going to take my old ones to a large press to have them taken apart.

Dang. Mind you my original wheel bearings lasted close to 180k with 90k of those on 255’s. Currently on oem rebuilds that someone was making here on tw. Hopefully I’ll be sourcing f250 and Chevy bearings the next time I need some….

Tip for some of you looking for wheels/tires. I found this section in Canadian Tire's price match policy stating they will match online retailers.

be sure to go to Big Bend Ranch State Park as well. the national park is nice and a must see but the state park has less tourists, is more remote and has better wheeling.
