    lol

Depends on moon light, last few mornings I could see my own shadow, so a hour before sunrise would be ideal.

I try my best to get out there 30 min before shooting time, but it all depends on my morning "functions" lol! more often than not i'm there right at shooting time or 10-15 min after.

The moon does change things, that's why I say "legal" shooting light :D

It's not worth it, I invited the GW over a few weeks back. As a Biologist I have seen some pretty bad shots on wildlife during regular shooting hours, I can only imagine those who illegally shoot game at night, probably wound, injur and kill a lot game that is never recovered. I would not hesitate to let the GW know if I knew someone was doing that, because that's taking wildlife resources from all of us.

This buck was 3.5 years old, ideally in this area, better to harvest 4+ year old bucks, sometimes the drought years are tough on the wildlife so it's hard to determine before you make that shot, the only exception are spikes and bucks without brawl tines.

This makes 5 in the last 3 weeks. A coyote can average kill upto 7 deer/fawns per year.
I hope I can get a handle on the number of yotes in my area so the deer population can double.

I've killed more bucks between 9am - 2pm than I have at daylight. But that's also using a grunt call. I've also had more bucks on camera between 10am - dusk.

I killed my first one at 11:15 in the morning, I was 15 years old and was in my 3rd tree stand that morning, my feet would get cold and I would move stands to warm up. I was in the last stand, my dad was in the next one down.

With that being said, I've killed more deer the first hour or last hour of the day than any other time.

The mountain behind my parents doesn't have a lot of hunting pressure, so that probably helps. They own about 50 acres, basically one ridge and a holler 2/3's up the mountain.

Not this year, my place does not have any cross fencing, I only have a corral, I have some old feeder locations with semi fence circles that need to be rebuilt.
