Without going into opinions on this app, Entune, and the services and how good or not they are .....

Just curious if anyone has found any settings on an Android phone that allows them to use the toyota app and not drain the battery so fast?

    Oh look, another mod....
I did, by un-installing it. The app doesn't do anything that helps me at all. I had it on my phone for awhile, and it would tell me basic info about the truck; the mileage of it, where it was parked, when the next maintenance was on it. Oh, I could also find out specs on the truck and I could lock/unlock/start it via the app. Which was nice. But yeah, worthless because I only used it three times total.

    Do you use it much?
On my Samsung, I got to Apps in Settings, open Toyota, go to Data usage and click it. The screen opens to show a button that allows me to turn off the back ground Data usage.
I hardly ever use the App so this might not work for you.

EDITED TO AD; Also, I turn off notifications and location for the App unless I need to use it.

yeah... don't really use that much, but started to think remote start might be nice as we head into winter.

turning off notifications is what i did when i first got the truck, because there were driving me nuts all the time. Maybe that's the way to go again.

    thanks.

Your key fob can do the remote start as long as you are relatively close to the truck...
It will shut off in about 10 min or as soon as you open the door.

I can't say I've had this issue, but then again I also have a 2017.
