Friend of mine Just got a fully loaded one (owns his own business and always leases his rides; like german, had audi, bmw, but loved the sign and drive on this). They are pretty much Audi badged Porshe Cayenne.

He went luxury and loaded while I went minimalist 4x4, manual tran, roll up windows, regular cab. I think I have the cooler ride and less than 1/2 the price!

 

Ya miss the point. I would never buy a VW, but this thing looks pretty badass. That's all that i meant by the post.

 

Audi baged? I agree they are a cheap version of the Cayenne. Even the V6 Cayenne is junk. You get a decent Cayenne with the small V8, but the GTS and Turbo versions are sick! and very expensive (65k-150k).

I hate VW anything, they are all ugly but this thing looks pretty good but still woudlnt own it.

 

The diesel version is a diesel and was on Top Gear BBC. Looked and performed pretty damn well! I don't like the street version and I wouldn't expect it to be anywhere near as capable or reliable it's race read counterpart.

 

I don't know the TwinTurbo v10 tdi was very quick. I would take it over an Audi tt.

 

Did you that the Touareg is named after a tribe in Africa that lives in the desert. It means abanded by God. Which is whats gonna happen if you drive one of these P.O.S. I have worked for VW for many years and they have nothing but problems with these things.
