Hello everyone! I'm new and am getting familiar with this forum. Excuse me if this has been posted about but I have not found my answer.

So I have a 2021 SR. Its got the smaller screen head unit with push buttons on either side. I want to swap it out for an older unit with a CD player.

My question is if the existing harnesses are company since it's still gen3 and if I will retain all the functions that I currently have...which means no fancy functions haaha. The touch screen with function and all that? Thanks in advance for any replies and I'll keep digging around as well.

The 2020+ wiring is different than the 2019-earlier wiring

I think you would be better off finding an aftermarket head unit with a cd player and getting the correct wiring harness for your 2021, and to retain the factory functionality
you will need something like the idatalink Maestro unit, if you go to crutchfield and type in your vehicle info it will tell you everything you need.
