@ tacoanddogs- I haven't been back in that area in decades, it still looks nice. Did you ever try out the weirdness at "Gravity Hill"?

 

Saw a nice 3rd gen today. DC didn't notice what length bed, black, cap or softtopper ARB front bumper, swing out on the back, it probably wad a HC, 5 black SR8s, lots of other stuff but that's what stood out.

 

No I haven’t, and if I’m honest I’m not 100% sure where gravity hill actually is.

 

I can't remember the name of the road, but it's really close to the parking area that you posted. A proper name for the hill should be 'anti-gravity' hill.
You stop at the bottom of the hill, just as it the hill starts going upward. You put your vehicle into neutral and the vehicle will start creeping UP HILL.

 

That sounds pretty cool. I’ll have to look into that.

 

Yea its an old ghost story, I've always heard its as Confederate Artillerymen moving your car as though it were a cannon.

Other news- the 4runner has functional 4wd again. The old position sensor was a PIA to get at, and of course once I dropped the trans enough to get a hand on it, I didn't have a 27mm ( Or 1 1/16 ) wrench to remove it. Adjustable wrenches and channel locks to turn the adjustable at odd angles came through in a pinch. I have a bunch of rust crud in my ear and I'm not sure how to get it out. I honestly thought about using a magnetic retrieval tool.

Those are so cool. I've always been interested in R/C anything. I have a Mavic. I never have the time. I got fooled one time watching a vid of a R/C on ice over a creek I think it was. I thought it was real.
