8k? Wow. Seems on the high side to me from what I've seen high mileage 4runner go for around here. Different market though. Grant might sell his too. Be hilarious if he could get 8-9k out of it. Similar mileage with no rust anywhere and some nice upgrades here and there. 5spd with locker though.

    Hope it sells fast.

The market is heating up for 90s cars. The whole used market is crazy really. Part of it is presentation of the vehicle and knowing the audience and getting it in front of them. Heck your old supra, those things are selling north of $10k these days.

That's a good point The use car market is super hot right now. What kind of buns the guy who I sold that super to ended up selling it again but he never let me know I would have bought it back.

Okay so I just fired up Igor for the first time everything seems to be good however I'm getting smoke coming out of where the collector pipe connects to the catalytic converter. It does not smell like exhaust though it smells like smoke. Just mean the seal is totally destroyed?

Did you use penetrating oil or something to bust those exhaust nuts loose? Might have just been it burning off

You would know if it's exhaust, smell wise. You would also likely throw a CEL as the O2 sensor would be confused.

    Fair point.

Okay so going to try and fix my alignment tonight myself. Any tips? @Squeaky Penguin @Reh5108 @SconnieHailer

I have SPC uppers too so hoping to get the camber right and get the cams as centered as possible with the hopes I can run the Poly Performance Taco tabs later.

If you want to do a fairly quick version, just center the cams on both sides and assume that nothing is tweaked too bad so caster is pretty close side to side. Then use the SPCs to adjust camber, I have a steel bar that’s cut to fit across the face of the wheel and then throw a level on it. If you make any adjustments make sure to bounce the truck up and down and roll it back and forth a couple times to get everything to “settle”.
Lastly, adjust toe - can just measure between the shoulder lugs on your tire at the mid-height on the front and rear of the tire. Try to keep your steering wheel centered while you make adjustments.
You’ll be surprised how close that will get you, and a shop can dial it in a little further if you want. Otherwise you can follow jberry’s write up on finding exact caster angles and all that to try and get it perfect yourself.

Yeah hoping to center the cams and correct the camber with the the SPC's. Near as I can tell this is do able as the cams front to back are the same basically. Then dial in the castor as needed I guess and fix the toe.

@drr is correct. I'll add that even when adjusting toe you should roll the truck after an adjustment if you are measuring off of tire lugs. I've chased my tail a few times being lazy with this. Doesn't seem to have an effect with my plates since I'm measuring off the wheel and there should be no flex/play in things. I personally like to cross the cams but I understand some don't due to the additional stress applied to the bushing. You may need to adjust the castor position on the bj to get what you are after. I'm sure you are aware that this will reduce tire to firewall clearance slightly.

Here's a spreadsheet I made for keeping track of mine and just plugging in measurements and getting Total toe and castor readings. I think my formulas are right lol.

You just have to finish any caster adjustments before doing camber - the caster throws off the camber. That’s the nice thing with the SPCs, you can it in order - caster then camber then toe.

I have +4° caster though with the solo lower arms and the spcs. So I don't need to cross the cam up at all. And in fact they have never been crossed up once I added the solo arms. The front and back cams have always been the same relative to each other. This is why I'm hoping I can use the lock out plates.

I centered the cams and then fixed the camber with the spcs. Then fixed the toe.

Haven't driven it. We didn't roll it which makes sense to do. We did raise it and drop it though every time. And bounce it.

Should work enough to get to a shop.

Yeah I'm curious to see what the measurements are from a shop after tweaking the spcs a bit and everything. See how bad I fucked it up or close I got it hahaha

Fogot about those LCAs. I'm sure you will be close enough if you are just trying to get to a shop.
