What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Just installed the NAVIKS Apple Carplay interface onto the factory Entune. Completely plug and play and has wireless CarPlay functions too.
Retains all factory functions of Entune. Screen is a little fuzzy but I’ll take that for the ease of use.

 

Just installed a powder coated RanchHand brush guard on the Tacoma. Now I can give somebody a love tap without scratching the paint

 

Yea. I was thinking the same. Or maybe just a small booger hook. I’ll figure something out. Thanks!

 

What makes this a CAI if its sucking in hot engine air? Just asking.

 

Is it custom made ?, the only thing is that it covers the grill...too much but I love the wrap around.

Did you use fishing line?

 

I've used a hairdryer, fishing line, and then goo gone to clean up the residue on other vehicles in the past.

Shipping notification day. Got notifications for my DD fog lights, my A-pillar light brackets, and my spot lights. Next week is going to have some wiring work to get done, installing th A-pillar lights.

Yeah all told, the tire was a 45 minute ordeal. Drove it "normal" from Jersey > Cleveland > NYC without issue. Rays is amazing and anyone who rides a mountain or BMX bike should go.

Built water storage today. Wanted the weight low and forward. Works well as I can house pressure fill the bottom and vent the air at the top. Going to add a pressure gauge and schrader valve to the top spigot. That way I can use my compressor if/when I need more pressure. For now the 50-60 psi out of the tap works to pressurize the tank. Ordered 10 ft of braided 1/4 line and a shower head for showers if needed

Follow up- today I worked on the switch side of the harness. Actually it was 3 harnesses to be exact. (Side note: whenever I have a mod that intersects with another I try to do them together to limit the removal of certain parts (not if it’s a simple 1 panel step). This is why it can take up to a yr before I complete a project unfortunately between being side tracked or planning it all out.) So my seat heater switches I wanted in the overhead, I also wanted my front camera switch up top and to relocate my vsc switch from the top to below the climate control. With the limited space in the a pillar I left a void in the sheathing I used on the harnesses in order to combine all into a wrap around style sheath (this way I can add more wires for a forth switch). Now that the harness is ran I need to focus on painting the new switch panel/inserts to complete this 3 mod project.

Was able to squeeze and tuck the harness in the pillar no problem. it’s barely visible, follows factory/away from airbag and no panel bulges when completed.
