    A t-tap is fine I soldered mine.

Red is accessory, black is gound. You can ground the camera anyware on the frame you do not need to run it to the radio. A lot of times the video wire(yellow RCA) has a red wire also attached that you can use for power. This lets you run one wire video and power.

The camera I already have installed is powered and grounded, but the RCA end has the red wire that needs power, I'll try the red wire

Yep. Pulled it out and got a couple things finished up (the sharkfin, wiring in the front cam). Overall the instructions sucked imo. But thankfully this thread helped a lot.

Dude in Russia has a whole deal you gotta go through uploading different patches and files for $100. Send him $ and he sends you instructions with videos and files. Opens up a lot of options, themes, and basically just makes it operate like it should

Ordered mine on Nov 13...showed up at my house Nov 19th. The day before I was leaving on a Death valley trip. Decided to go for it and install it. Works great...never missed a beat while hammering on my truck. I use view ranger as my offroad mapping program and was real happy with the the large screen to navigate from.
Did anyone elses come with a camera included? Camera was in the box but the website says nothing about it being included.

Who did you go through for your order? I have ordered mine off their website and haven't heard anything other then an acknowledgment with an order number.

similar experience for me, placed the order last Friday and was issued a DHL tracking # but there has been zero actual movement of the package on the DHL site... their site did say 7-10 days for the US so just need to exercise some patience.

DHL actually got mine to me a few days earlier than their website said. Was a good surprise

Ok, I guess was expecting a little more communication or a tracking number at the very least. I have sent them a few emails with no replies so my initial feeling is less than confident. Thanks for the replies! I guess I have to wait and see.

I'm assuming there are different options for the truck image delayed? Like can I change it to a doublecab to match mine? Or even better import a .png of my actual truck to display?

You can change the truck picture even without the custom firmware.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but it makes it easier if you de-pin and remove the wires you won't be using. Save them for later if you sell the unit or need to add/change something.

Just installed mine… I’m ready to send it back and keep my KENWOOD that has been rock solid. The form-factor is great! However, the OS is crap with this unit.

    my issues:

    - Bluetooth keeps disconnecting
    - CarPlay takes way to long to connect
    - startup time is too long
    - no wired CarPlay
    - hands-free speaker is garbage. No one can hear me when driving.
    - backup cam is in my rear-view mirror and this unit does not display it
    - no tire pressure reading (the maestro did did)
    - I didn’t receive any bezel clips
    - 24/7 support they claim - nope

    I think it’s going back.

How do you get this? It should be easy by connecting to your network and upgrading but no new versions of anything is found. Sigh…. I want to like this unit but I don’t believe it’s ready for prime time.
