    My skewboop is functional.

Okay maybe not active but passively functional, cut the ass end off and now it vents out heat when I'm standing still and drops under hood and intake temps going down the road slightly.

The snorkel I guess is a functional skewp.

Pretty sure you can't beat straight piped aluminum without running a velocity stack straight off the TB.

I put S and B on mine. If I could go back in time, I probably would do it again just for looks. The sounds a little annoying to me and I come from motorcycle racing. I do like just glancing at the filter, however, through the clear lid.

I've read a lot and saw that Cai can improve throttle response. Also a few manufacturers of Cai show there dyno results.

More so for us guys that removed our liners which leaves the stock intake open to the elements. I plan on going the other route and rerouting it into my cowl area

Wheel well liners. Your stock intake gets routed out of the engine bay into your passenger side wheel well. When your liners are removed due to say larger tires, trimmed fenders, tubbing or a combination of the sorts it leaves your stock intake wide open to the elements

    photo 3.jpg

So what others have done is reroute the stock tubing to either inside the cab or to the engine cowl. Just a cheaper alternative to getting a snorkel. As a bonus it frees up some space in the engine bay for a second battery or an air compressor. At least the cowl method does

    Skip the CAI.

Install a pair of weather proof speakers in the under carriage. Connect to an MP3 (or whatever player you like). Run thru an Amp (bigger is better).

Then play sound clips in loops of any car, truck, boat, tractor, motorcycle you like. You could make the truck sound like Kenworth, Aston Martin, Ferrari.......anything.

You will gain just as much plus be able to customize the sound to your needs.

The loudest CAI I installed was my snorkel. My ex wouldn't shut the fuck up about it for YEARS.

    All is quiet now.

I had a 2016 with a K&N that was on it when I bought it and I have a 2019 now with an S&B. I think the K&N was louder but got kind of annoying when you stomped on it. S&B seems a little quieter and aesthetically looks really nice in the engine bay. I have it paired with the Borla S-Type catback and it sounds a lot like the TRD exhaust but maybe a touch louder

My wife doesn't like my truck. Thats ok. Cuz I don't like her Honda CR-V.

Actually, I don't think we've bought any vehicle that we both liked..........
