I know this topic seems to be beaten into the ground but I find this subject to be very debatable. I currently have stock 245/75R16 on for wheels and i think they look absolutely ridiculous; not to mention my tread is about gone. I want to have a bigger rim, around 17"-18" in(17" preferred), and can have a lower profile tire with good rain/highway tread. I was looking at the Fortera w/tripletred P265/65R17 and the Toyota dealership told me I can't have any tires over 16" because it will rub the fenderwell. Any way I can make something fit larger than my other tire, maybe like a 265/60R17 or what. Any thoughts?

was that the 06 model? Toyota said the 10' and 11' are allowed those tires because there fender wells are bigger.

Don't take your truck to the Toyota dealership that told you nothing over 16" rims will fit... Toyota puts 17" rims on TRD Sports stock and the tire size is 265/65R17. You can fit 265/70R17 without rubbing.
