    Hi guys,

A squeaking noise is coming from my front right wheelwell on my Gen 3 Tacoma. It's especially noticeable when going over speedbumps. What's the most common suspension component that would cause this? The strut?

It's been going on for a couple years and I'm kind of tired of hearing it.

Spray a joint with lube then go for a drive. Repeat until the squeak is no more and you’ll have your answer. Mine was sway bar link. I think common (yet, low incidences) areas are sway bar and body mounts.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. What kind of lube do you recommend?

My 2016 Tacoma did the same thing. The dealership (super Toyota Certified Technician) replaced the bushings in the front suspension and the noise stopped. He said that was an issue with 3d gen Tacomas. I now have a 2020 TRD and have had no issues in that area. Not sure what years the problem covered.

Had a front strut squeak on my pro, sprayed around the spring ends with silicone lubricant for the fix. Recommend silicone spray since it dries quickly and doesn't leave a sticky residue, though it still takes about 24 hours to properly cure.

I used lithium grease spray; it was just I had at the moment. I don’t know if that’s ok for ball joints or rubber bushing.
