Factory head unit boosts bass, but limits 250hz, everything else is nice and flat.
I wouldn’t worry about trying to get that little bit of 250hz back.

Hi everyone, I have a non JBL system and would like to upgrade the speakers while keeping the stock head unit for now. I have found sets of new JBL speakers and wondered if the JBL speakers are really any better and could I just swap the standard speakers with the JBLs. Will the stock head unit power the JBLs or would an aftermarket speaker be a better option?

Hey all, I am having problems finding the right plugs to match my 2012 tacoma prerunner SR5 stock plugs for steering wheel controls and rear view camera that would go in to my chinese android 10" head unit. I cut to fit my owm cover so I could fit the larger touch screen. I just bought a set of plugs that are supposed to fit but they were for JBL and they don't fit My non JBL. The radio plug works but none of the other plugs that would go to the factory or to my head unit fit. They were supposed to be for 2012 Tacoma mine are all different except the one radio plug. Anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
