I respect that level of dedication, and it sounds like that's just what is expected. I only hope it's rewarded. Makes me appreciate my 8-4:30 gig very much.

One of our customers, I've known him for 30+ years. He started a mechanic business out of his tiny garage, has 3 people who work for him now, big shop, has a really nice place with some land, etc. He's been talking about retiring for a few years. He told my wife he sold his business, she said what are you going to do? He said "I bought a new service truck and started another business, I'm gonna keep 3 customers"

 

When we were first married my wife worked 7p-7a and I worked 8a-4:30p. It was almost like being single.

 

At my last job we had plans for a Scheels store going out so a few of us got there at 6am, worked all day, I went home for an hour to eat supper, worked until 2am then was back in at 6am. When I was filling out my time card, I had 35 hours in those 2 days.

 

Sorry to disappoint you but the only time I've been in a police car was when I was 3.

Kid had his big yearly appointment at the hospital this morning. Lung function tests, chest X-rays, glucose tolerance tests, etc. Takes about 4 hours.

 

Anyone know what is the purpose of this part of the linkage on this clutch master cylinder? The one that's on the 4runner now doesn't have it. It looks to be nothing more than a weight or something. I tried to goggle it but nothing. @Tacoma Mike ?

I'm not expert on clutches and not exactly sure the issue with this old 4runner. The clutch grabs or engages like it's plenty strong or good friction but just doesn't disengage good/consistent. I need to just swap them out and see if that helps. I bought both master and slave.

I was a little surprised at what the grills cost online, but I bet they’re cheaper than driving from Milford, Me to Fargo ND!!

 

Almost forgot to mention that my employer cut everyone loose 2 hours early today with pay. Darn good enough bonus for me. I was last one out though because I had to put a few things away in the shop.

Using rough numbers, it would be about $800 for gas and take you 56 hours of travel time.

Buy one out there.
