Manual transmission access cab is only available in the Sport, that's the only reason to buy one.

Me? More bed space, less wasted room in the cab, win win.

Maybe, but the situation where a locker is required and the electronic assistance from AUTO-LSD/A-Trac/etc is not enough is very specific and uncommon. The one thing that a locker does well is makes some things easier.

Edit: oops, kinda late on the reply!

Both late and irrelevant. Just because those situations are uncommon to you doesn’t mean they are uncommon to others and in ALL situations a locker is better. Has nothing to do with my reply regarding driver skill in a Sport

They are uncommon to others. Maybe there are some that they are not uncommon to, but that is a small number.

A locker is better on a high grip surface while turning? Got it.

Do you think before you answer or is it always an, "I'm right! how can I defend my poorly thought out position on the topic?" reaction?

You’re two cents is worth exactly that. You’ve completely missed the boat on the conversation and the original point of my comment. Now trolling and trying to create an argument for the sake of argument.

Please oh inexperienced one show the forum members here of a non-locked Sport capable of doing everything an locked Offroad can.

Today on this Thanksgiving I’m thankful for the ignore feature.

Not for a Miami minute. Had four Toyota trucks, the last one an Off Road. This one is by far the nicest one I have owned. Does everything I need a truck to do, including hauling, towing, driving in the mountains to go skiing, and the moderate off roading I do.

    No silly regrets at all.

Coming from a dude with a sport, who bought the sport specifically to rip everything out and replace front and rear with the gearing and lockers I wanted.

Wait for the Offroad, it is a better equipped truck and normally does better in the resale. Especially if they are the same price. Just to be clear, you don't have to be in extreme terrain or rock crawling to use the rear locker. Its nice peace of mind to have it. If the hood scoop or the fenders is what you want, all that cosmetic garbage can be changed at any time in the future relatively cheap. Don't let the emotions of having a new vehicle get in the way of what you want. Thats said, only you know whats best for you. Good luck. Offroad.

Been driving these trucks for 33 years. My three previous ones all had lockers in them. I I cannot count even on one hand how many times I ever use the locker in my life because that number is zero. I drove the trucks hard work them hard and played them hard and never one time use the locker.
As far as a concern for resale I have none. I drive these trucks a long time all of them well well over 100,000 miles usually into the twos before I get rid of them or trade them in.
    Just IMHO …
