That >8,000 lb. winch is a waste of money.

Bottom line He can do all the rigging he wants as long as He does not Kill or injury someone else .

I can say i had my share of great ideas most times it was something so simple I over looked my Mom was great at pointing those flaws out.

Haha atv winch! I just skipped to the end to flame the OP who clearly has never been in real life situations.

Hey there, I’m stuck, let me get out the three snatch blocks and extra 200 feet of that expensive synthetic line and do some jigging up nonsense….

OP, must have watched the recent episode of a popular four wheel drive show where the host, with a straight face, said he was going to toss this 3000 lbf rated winch in back of his Jeep for off trail adventures and if necessary could use a snatch block for extra pull. Can’t fully blame the OP when the TV experts are saying stuff like that.

A capstan winch with 400 feet of rope, gas for the winch, pile of snatch blocks, pile of shackles, pile of heavy duty straps ... gonna have to leave everything else at home just to make room.

Wonder if the OPs winch idea would of worked for this. Pulling a 6k lb dead rig out of a v-notch and up a hill with extremely loose soil and rocks. BTW 9k HF winch took an absolute beating and it's still doing work very impressed with that chinesium stuff. It's all that winch had and I was digging hard as you can see with the tires in the second pic. This is why we put 9k+ winches on the front of our rigs OP and if you want some real world winch work come wheeling with the crowd I wheel with sometime. They get used hard and worked hard. Took almost 5 hrs to recover this rig we aren't gonna add another 6 hrs with some BS snatch blocks and a million feet of additional line extensions. It took 3 rigs to get this out and off the trail. No little SxS winch would of held up period!

What's not pictured is a yota and jeep finishing pulling him out then 2 yotas pulling me out after I broke the tcase. That was a hell of a recovery that all the winches, vehicles, and people involved were beat after it was done

Thank Goodness those days for me were long before the internet in my case.

Mom pretty much shot them down before I made a complete fool of myself .
