    Thanks! Turned out great. The wiring harness even bothers me a lil haha. It’s not perfect.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    A. I find that hilarious because cats +hard hats

    B. I can relate because I've worked enough blue collar jobs to know what that's like.. and

    C. Do you tag me specifically because it's a Stihl?:laughing:

    Also in regards to you're earlier talk about welders and possibly needing a dedicated TIG vs MIG or going the route of a dual purpose machine that @Blue92 suggested...

    If I were you I wouldn't buy anything for the house until you've personally experienced each version of machine. Depending on what you'd like to do as a possible side business, Or real job, or etc, will make a huge difference in what you'll feel most comfortable with in your garage. I like Danny's point of strike-arc TIG in that it's a lot cleaner for garage settings (with the no splatter thing) and switching over to stick is great when you need to do some serious sticksteeltogether shit. His schooling was geared towards passing an AWS cert so it makes sense he'd be most comfortable with that set-up. Plus he's dead on about it being the cheapest homebase setup for variety of welding applications.

    My schooling was based around the engineering side of welding (cause we were programming robots to do it for us) so reading and understanding prints, history of study and how metals melt together and then the end of the year went towards introducing every style of machine to weld with, and then trying out each one. Between strike and pedal tig, I'm better at pedal. But having to fake weld professionally, mig is my absolute go to. I just have 3 bottles of gas and swap wire for stainless vs normal steel. And use a spool gun for aluminum. Easy and convenient, and most importantly for a business, fast. (It'd be a different story if we hired our own full time fabricators but currently, it's faster)

    So .. tl;dr wait to buy before you try

    I tagged you because your sense of humor is as broken as mine so I knew Cats w/Hardhats would be enough :rofl:

    As for machines, I know I need to give it some time before I really get anything.

    Maybe I should skip the sub-800 machines and go big from the get go :anonymous:

    Bars in Utah sound like a somber affair anyway

    Apparently Keanu didn't want to act in it until he read the script, so that's promising.
