Just run 'em the way the factory intended and paint out the letters with kiwi black leather dye. White letters on the inside of the wheels looks goofy anyway. It's not like folks can't see 'em in there.

Here you go. And as a special bonus, you can see how effectively I've blacked out the white letters with shoe dye (NOT shoe POLISH)

4 wheel parts magazine has a "long term" review of them in this month's issue. But there's no on-line link, sorry.

    Funny thing about that.

When you *do* search, the most helpful threads inevitably end up starting out with a couple of replies saying "jeez, this has been covered before, do a search" before some knowledgeable folks chime in with good info.

Probably being one of the first on this site to own the Kevlar's I would have to say they've been a really good tire (and still are). For the aggressive tread pattern they are quiet on the highway and work well off road. I would recommend them to anyone looking at buying them. Ask TRICOMA who talked him into it. ;)

Not cocky, just stating the truth. Tired of so many people bashing the tires without ever having them. Not sure of the exact mileage but I put them on in May of '09 and I drive quite a bit. Probably close to 30K.

Oh, they sure do. It's all about the KM2's around here. I just found my receipt. Put the tires on at 31K and I'm at 59K right now. Never calibrated the speedo either so it's probably really close to 30K on the tires. I have 285/75R16. I will have to get back to you on the tread depth but it's still quite a bit. Plenty of life left.

I love it; when I searched some of the other threads as you said all was negative, but now that someone who actually has them is speaking up I am starting to feel better about them.

As far as people who tell others to search, they can go and get stuck for all I care. If they don't have an answer to the question, knowone is twisting there arm to respond.

yea I have been running them for a while now. I believe i purchased them at the end of November in 2009, so its been a year and a few months now. I love them truthfully..... they have been good to me. Much better than the KM1's that came off....

As for the white wall out.... I originally was planing on running them white IN, but after reading up on the asymmetrical design of the tire, I decided white was the way to go..... honestly the only reason i didnt get KM2's is because they didnt offer a 305/70/17..... only a 305/65/17..... and i wanted a larger tire overall....

I like how it looks now with the white wall out though.... then again, my truck is white.

Here's a pic of my truck back when I first put them on. I actually like the white walls and don't think they look bad on Silver Streak Mica either.

People bash 'em? What the hell for? They look awesome and, from everything I've heard, perform just fine.
